Harrow - The Martyr

All is rot.

The lands are shriveled.

The gods are dead.

And your burdens crush you under their weight.

Be you enterprising or opportunistic? Are you curious or desperate? Is there hope for you in the decaying ruins of a gilded land?

Harrow is a 30-page comic/zine/almost-choose-your-own-adventure/narrative art book. In this journey, you follow The Martyr as they make their way through a strange land in hopes of finding a cure to a mystical ailment. They meet an array of strange creatures, navigate esoteric horrors, and  even make some friends among the many “queerdos” who are also seeking absolution in those lands.

I was inspired by old video game strategy guides/manuals, fighting fantasy adventure books, and other assorted fantasy media. My goal was to try and create an unconventional, visual, comic narrative using limited story telling in an (essentially) dead medium.
